Hands Controls
Hand Controls were created to allow drivers with paraplegia, limited dexterity, motion, and/or tensor control to drive a vehicle.
CCI Hand Control Options:
MotoMate™ 6060
The CCI MotoMate blends well with vehicle interiors. It can be ordered with up to four switches for turn, horn, dimmer or other functions if desired. Simply push handle forward to brake, downward to accelerate. It has a unique design that reduces fatigue and features a padded grip for comfort.
MotoMate™ 6260
The CCI MotoMate 6260 is a Push Right-Angle hand control and blends well with vehicle interiors. It can be ordered with up to four switches for turn, horn, dimmer or other functions if desired. This hand control is great in situations where a right-angle downward acceleration is obstructed.
AirTouch™ Pneumatic Gas/Brake
Advanced “Light Touch / Low Effort” power hand control for gas and brake. Operates as a stand-alone control or can be combined with a variety of vehicle controls and systems. The AirTouch is available in three different handle types: Tri-Pin, Grip Handle and L-Grip.
Steering Devices
All steering controls are readily detachable for ambulatory person. Spinner devices permit safe operations of the steering wheel for drivers who must steer with one hand, allowing them to remain in contact with the steering wheel at all times.
CCI Steering Devices:
Spinner Knob
For positive one hand control of the steering wheel. The spinner knob remains in a fixed position with two support straps stemming from a fixed base which is attached to the steering wheel. The ball-grip presses firmly against the palm of your hand, giving you added strength and control for easy driving.
Amputee Ring
The amputee ring accommodates most drivers with a prosthetic hook on their steering arm(s) (typical with two fingers). One finger goes on the outside of the ring, the other finger fits on the inside, securing you to the steering wheel for smooth handling. The prosthesis should have soft surface pincers.
Palm Grip (Steering Cuff)
This steering device is for drivers with no grip and/or diminished wrist stability and comes with a soft insert. A wrist cock up splint with a post attached in a vertical or horizontal position. The Palm Grip can be placed at any position on the wheel according to driving prescription and personal comfort.
Tri-Pin Grip
This steering device is for drivers with no grip and/or diminished wrist stability. The tri-pin is firmly supported by a secured base located along the inside of the steering wheel. Each pin is covered with foam and are fully adjustable, so you can easily find your individual comfort setting.
V-Grip
The v-grip steering device is for drivers with minimum grip, stabilizes the driving hand securely. Secured base is also adjustable according to individual abilities. With a foam-grip single pin and foam-covered aluminum wrap providing backhand support, your hand stays securely and comfortable in place.
LogiTouch Spinner Knob
For positive one hand control of the steering wheel. This unit is designed with a bracket to hold a LogiTough Control Unit. The LogiTouch Controls simply snaps in to the bracket, to put secondary functions within right by your hand. The spinner knob remains in a fixed position via a fixed base which clamps to the steering wheel. Right or Left-handed use.
Secondary Controls
The controls of today’s vehicles have options which can be difficult for some drivers to reach or engage. Secondary Controls are products that help drivers get these controls back within reach with easy to press buttons, remote transmitters and more.
CCI Secondary Controls:
LogiTouch™
LogiTouch™ is ideal for drivers who are looking for ease in operating a vehicle’s secondary controls (switches). LogiTouch adds a new dimension to adaptive driving by putting up to 18 function controls right at your fingertips.
C-Tech™
C-Tech Secondary Control Systems allows drivers the operation of controls with large, accessible pads and/or a central control panel, whichever is needed. This system is available in four options and up to 12 functions. Available functions include: lights, horn, interior lights, turn signals and many more.
Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)
The Electric Parking Brake allows drives to set the parking brake with a push button control. Simply press the button until the Parking Brake is applied to the desired amount. To release the EPB, press the same button momentarily.
MemoryShift™
The C-Tech MemoryShift is a programmable electronic push-button power shifter that delivers true, accurate shifts every time. The MemoryShift can be installed on almost any automatic transmission vehicle. Compact control panel allows for more choices in mounting and is compact enough for custom installation.
Foot Controls
Foot Controls provide drivers easier access to the brake, clutch or gas pedals.
CCI Foot Control Options:
PedalMate
PedalMates are available for the brake,clutch and gas pedals. All are adjustable with extension lengths from 2″ – 7″ on the brake/clutch pedal and 2″ – 6″ for the gas pedal using an off-set bracket. Each Pedal Mate is easily positioned to meet your exact requirements.
Left Foot Accelerator
The Left Foot Accelerator (LFA) allows a driver to use accelerate using a pedal placed on the left rather than on the right. The LFA can be quickly removed for other drivers and has an ergonomic release for easy removal.
